Meditation is a proven technique to manage and reduce stress, and when it comes to your cognitive well-being, stress reduction is a key element in promoting brain health, and cognitive performance.
Recent studies have now started to explore the other links between meditation and cognitive performance.
In the article which we link to below, and the accompanying study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, researchers are now highlighting the relationship between meditation and “mind-wandering”. Experienced meditators show an increased ability to focus and stop their minds from wandering, compared to their peers who don’t meditate.
The attached article highlights specific forms of meditations which were used (along with instructions on how to try them yourself), along with the results that were achieved.
