How to Recover When You’re Sleep Deprived

Poor sleep is well understood to negatively impact your memory, alertness, cognitive speed, and reaction time.   For those of you who skimp on your sleep during busy periods,  there is interesting new research which details how “recovery sleep” and napping can help to erase the effects of your lost sleep.

Though definitely not as good as getting a solid seven to eight hours per night, recovery sleep offers an approach to restoring alertness for those times when poor sleeping habits have reduced your cognitive effectiveness.
