GO GREEN AND SPARK YOUR CREATIVITY!

 

This is a great article lauding the color green as a source of creative inspiration. There is, in fact, a body of scientific evidence that proves that simply observing the color green can spark our creativity! Along with the research highlighted in this article, there is research from the University of Rochester (by Andrew Elliot) which found that the color green tripled success rates at solving anagrams. As well, controlled experiments in office environments (by psychologists Seiji Shibata and Naoto Suzuki) showed that having green, leafy plants within the participant’s range of vision consistently increased creativity and innovation.

According to scientists, visual cues are tied to our thoughts and behaviors. Our brains associate the color green with growth and development. Observing green color, even for only a few seconds, sparks the creative portions of our brains.
